Ron has accepted the role of Mayor in the upcoming Toy Box Theatre Company production of a new version of the Georg Buechner classic, Woyzeck, adapted by Jonathan Barsness, Toy Box’s Co Artistic Director. Ron appeared as Friar/Donado in Toy Box’s critically-acclaimed production of Tis Pity She’s a Whore last year. We start rehearsals in mid September and run for a month beginning mid-October. Ron is ecstatic to have been cast in a New York International Fringe Festival musical! Ron will be playing Edward in Together This Time with Book by Zac Kline, Music by Andrew Heyman and Lyrics by Mr. Heyman and Mr. Kline. Troy Miller directs this modern rock musical about love, literature and letting go. A hot shot author’s quest to reconnect with both his girlfriend and his art leads him on a crash course between real life and fiction.
Performances begin at the Lucille Lortel Theatre on August 18, 2010 at 9:30 PM and will run for five performances. See Ron as Sir Jasper Fidget alongside Obie Award winning actress, Meg MacCary as Lady Fidget in William Wycherley’s The Country Wife. The production opens July 9 and runs eight performances through July 18, 2010 at the American Theatre of Actors’ Chernuchin Theatre in midtown. Ron will be reading multiple roles in Vanda’s Mrs. Ryan of Maspeth, Queens with Tandy Cronin on March 16 at the Players Club in Grammercy Park
White Baby by David Lee White is a dark comedy appearing in Series C of Emerging Artists Theatre’s short play festival, Spring 2010 EATfest. I am directing a wonderful cast, starring EAT members Amy Bizjak as Miss Obsidian and Rebecca Nyahay as Lady. Guest Artist Simon Kendall rounds out the cast.
From September 26 – October 16, 2009, Ron appears as the Friar and Donado in Toy Box Theatre Company’s adaptation of the John Ford Classic ‘Tis Pity She’s A Whore. The production is being directed by Jonathan Barsness, one of Toy Box Theatre’s Artistic Directors. This is Ron’s second appearance with Toy Box, having appeared in their 2004 New York International Fringe Festival production of How to Draw Mystical Creatures by Ellen Margolis.
